Ker-Jiun Wang is an engineer, scientist, inventor and a series entrepreneur, bridging academia and industry with his expertise in robotics, automation, and wearable biosensing technology aimed at advancing Human-Machine and Human-Centered AI Interaction. As the co-founder and CTO of EXGwear Inc., CTO of Jiun Pul Enterprise Inc., and a Visiting Faculty member at the University of Pittsburgh, Ker-Jiun’s influence spans across innovative product design and breakthrough scientific research.
He earned his Ph.D. in Bioengineering from the University of Pittsburgh, where he was honored with the AAAS/Science Program for Excellence in Science, and his M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. Prior to his journey in the U.S., he lectured full-time at Mechanical Engineering at National Taiwan University, fostering his early cross-disciplinary training and academic contributions. Ker-Jiun’s impact is recognized globally: he has won top prizes in numerous international science, robotics, and entrepreneurship competitions, including the 1st place of IEEE SMC Society Award in Brain-Computer Interface at IEEE SMC 2017 and the Best Robot Hardware Design award at International Conference on Social Robotics (ICSR) 2018. Additionally, he was a Best Paper Award Finalist at the IEEE AIVR 2018 conference.
